The Singers Showcase promises to be an evening filled with enchanting performances, heartfelt melodies, and a celebration of musical growth. Avant Academy of Music welcomes all music enthusiasts and supporters to attend this remarkable event and witness the power of the Fundamentals of Singing program firsthand.
At 6:00 pm this evening, Keisha Patterson and Seretse Small will be performing at 4 Washington Drive off Annette Crescent in aid of Avant Academy of Music.
The night is billed as “Keisha & Seretse” was originally billed "Della & Seretse” as it was originally to feature Della Manley as the main performer along with Seretse Small.
However, two days prior to the event, Della became ill and had to cancel her participation.
Keisha Patterson was contacted at once to fill in for Della. She confirmed that she was available and arrangements were made to change the program.

Avant Academy of Music will be reintroducing vocal programs starting on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
The school had discontinued the offering of vocal programs from January 2020 as part of an overall effort to restructure the music education programs and improve outcomes by streamlining curricula.
As the COVID pandemic progressed in 2020, Avant Academy of Music had found a new home at 69 Westminster Road which provided increased physical capacity in which to develop programs. The new location provided over five thousand square feet of space, almost double what was available at the previous Barbican address.
This increased capacity brings the return of evening and weekend classes. The larger rooms also allow for group classes with enough space to allow for social distancing.
Jerone Riley, a singer, and musician who has been working with the Avant Academy of Music Orchestra in performances before the lockdowns and curfews curtailed live performances is the person who is leading the development of the new vocal programs.
The first offering is a group class for adults, “Fundamentals of Singing”. This is aimed at persons who need to understand the basics of vocal care and performance to improve their singing or to enhance their vocal leadership skills.
Consultation services are offered to persons who are interested in becoming a part of the music industry to help develop their setlists and to provide rehearsals to fine-tune their performance packages.
