Most persons will do this out of their homes at first and then as it develops and they get more students they bring on additional music teachers and they rent a place to conduct classes. The qualifications required for running a private teaching music studio vary depending on your clients and the music you are teaching. Being certified will give you a sense of authority in negotiating your fees, your musicality will allow your students to be inspired.
A Producer is first and foremost a project manager. Not all producers are musicians but all producers are project managers. Being a musician can help but some of the most successful producers were not actual musicians but they had an appreciation of music and understood the business of selling music.
The primary concern of the creator is to be true to their internal vision or passion for what they want to create. This is where expression is given priority of skill or marketing. The creator has a unique voice, something that sets them apart.
The successful director must be able to speak with authority, demonstrate what they require and lead others to behave musically with joy and with courage. Speaking from authority comes from knowledge and experience. The successful director is one who studies and practices. They read, research, listen to music and rarely backs away from a challenge to execute a musical idea.
To be truly successful as a performer you need engagement, talent, and skill. Engagement is the ability to develop and sustain a long term relationship with an audience. Musical talent can be thought of as being able to play a musical instrument or sing without having to try very hard. Musical skill is different from talent in that it is developed over a longer time with organisation, patience, and discipline.
