Avant Academy believes that every human being is worthy of love and belonging. We envision a Jamaica where bias based on race and class are no longer a major factor in experiencing love and belonging while navigating society.

We see a Jamaica where situation analysis, research and storytelling merge with education, the arts and technology to allow persons to mindfully become aware of themselves and make more meaningful social connections through a process of training and certification.

Avant Academy of Music exists to end racial and class inequity through developing transparent systems of workforce development and creating engaging and authentic media that will educate, entertain and inspire to become the most fulfilled global citizens that they can be.

In the words of Bob Marley and Marcus Garvey, we will be one of the means by which we in Jamaica will “emancipate ourselves from mental slavery”.
