[Kingston, Jamaica, July 9, 2021] -
Avant Academy of Music is running a summer music program from July 5, 2021, to August 27, 2021. This program will offer musical experiences for children between the ages of eight and eighteen years in Music Production and the music styles of Pop, Gospel, and Traditional Jamaican Drumming.
There are four programs being offered, three of which are ensemble programs. The programs are Pop Band, Gospel Band, Traditional Drumming, and Music Production. Sessions will be offered between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm each day. Participants will be taken through a week-long experience including instruction, collaboration, and ending with a recorded performance.
Sashana Hamilton, the director of Operations stated that “This is really a good chance to showcase ourselves as a company, to show the public our new programs and facilities and all the progress we have made during the time of COVID”.
